Fiona's Bead Bar

This weblog serves as a showcase for my bead projects. They started mostly as gifts for my friends. I normally do only one-time pieces, so they are kinda "exclusive", if you know what I mean. :) Do check back often for updates!

If you see anything you like, feel free to email me, and we will work something out.

One-of-a-kind necklace!
The main beads are handmade out of polymer clay. Look at those stripes! Kinda tiger-like, huh? :-) Rest of the necklace is made up of 6mm glass cream pearls and faceted Czech glass crystal beads.

Bling! Bling! Perfect for white shirts and blue jeans!

This piece is MINE!

Royal Rumble - S$30

Ding! Ding!! In the back corner, we have black onyx chips. And in the white corner, we have white agate chips. The referee is bought from a faraway land… Meaning, the funny looking beads you see are not bought in Singapore, lah!! :-)

Quite a weighty piece, with all those stone chips!

Beach Babe - NOT AVAILABLE

Bright, sunny piece! Funny how white always goes well with blue. Like white tees with blue jeans, this piece is made up of white agate chips and handmade blue sparkled polymer clay round beads, with metallic seed beads as spacers.

Inset: Shows the "blue sparkled polymer clay bead". :-)

This piece belongs to Jennifer.

Seattle -S$14

I always wanted to make y-necklaces, but never got around to actually sourcing for findings, beads, etc. So I guess you could say this one is sorta an experimental necklace for me. I added two flower pewter bead for details.

Clay Quilted Beads

Similar to the "hydrant" beads, but instead of adding bits of clay, I make patterns on them. Now they look like quilts.

Mmm… How will I use them?

My First "Hydrant" Beads

They kinda reminds me of the fire hydrant… Heehee. :-)

The clay before baking is slightly adhesive, so I stick bits of coloured clay on top and bake them together.
Look at how they turned out.

Not bad for a first attempt, huh? :-)))

Starry Memories - NOT AVAILABLE

Tidbits of 4mm cream glass pearls and 4mm Swarovski crystals, hanging on a star focal, 6mm cream glass pearl as dangle. Length of necklace: 17 inches. Length of dangle: 1.5 inches.

Sense: Made up of a flower connector finding, with 4mm white opal Swarovski crystals and 4mm cream glass pearls as dangles.

Sensibility: Similar to Sense. Made up of a flower connector finding, with 4mm amethyst Swarovski crystals and 4mm dark purple glass pearls as dangles. Belongs to Jennifer, amethyst is her birthstone.

Sweet Gwen Necklaces

I made matching 3-strands necklaces for the Sweet Gwen pendants.

My weekend project

Here are the products.
The lentils didn’t turn out very well.
Maybe I haven’t got the hang of it yet.
Think I will stick to rounds and ovals for the time being.
:-P

Fiona was here...

Saturday. Cloudy.

Nice day for a walk, Dad says.
Bloody hot. I complained...
(Heehee...)

Anyhow, we made our way down to Holland Village.
We haven’t been there are a long time.
Let’s see...

Beadshop! This shop came highly recommended by fellow local beaders.
Finally~~! I have been there!
Wahahaha!

I went there to look specifically for beadcaps.
Well, I couldn’t find what I wanted, but look what else I found!

The shop was not difficult to locate, it was situated behind Holland Village shopping centre.
There are many varieties of findings, some not common.
I especially like the presentation, most of the stuff are packed in nice little square transparent boxes. (I am thinking I could recycle them.)
However, the prices are a bit steep, but the quality and service made up for it.
