Fiona's Bead Bar

This weblog serves as a showcase for my bead projects. They started mostly as gifts for my friends. I normally do only one-time pieces, so they are kinda "exclusive", if you know what I mean. :) Do check back often for updates!

If you see anything you like, feel free to email me, and we will work something out.

Pearly Starship - S$35

The bicone clay beads remind me of a starship...
I am no fan of Star Wars, but... Nevermind.
Made up of bicone clay beads framed by beadcaps, string with faceted Swarovski crystal and potato-shaped freshwater pearls, lobster clasp with 1 inch extension chain.
Length: 15.5 inches.

Amber Star - MINE!

I updated one of my old necklaces by taking it apart, and re-stringing it again.
Wah-la! I added an amber stone as a focal, and bicone clay beads with swirls.
Gives the necklace interesting shape.
Length: 15.5 inches.

Of course they come in a pair, silly!

Nice motifs I got from mixing a number of the same cane together.
I them cut them into thin slices and roll them on a ball of clay.
Reminds me of batik motifs.
The beads are framed by rhodium beadcaps.

The round-ish things are seed beads that I stick into the clay before I bake them.

Cally, Carol & Caroline

The flower motif on Cally, are made out of tiny balls of clay, pressed into the flat piece of clay.
The motif on Carol and Caroline is from a cane I made some time ago, but never got to actually using it, till now.

Cute little pendants, looking for loving owners...
Caroline now belongs to Supeng.

Galaxy n Cosmo

Cute, cute pendants of pastel colours.
Given cute, cute cosmic names as well. Hahaha~~ :-)

Susan - SOLD!

I got the orange flower motif from my scrapbooking hobby.
I cut the ends off, and press them into the clay.
Wah-lah!! Nice flowery summer-feeling pendant.

I made another one in purple. I hear you , Eunice!

Purple Lining - SOLD

This is actually 2 flower shapes, fused into one.
I pressed colourful seed beads into the clay to make it less plain.
I made this as an experiment, to see if the seed beads will melt during the curing process.
It turns out alright, huh??

Flowery clouds - NOT FOR SALE

This is one of the first pendants I have made.
The flower motif is actually from some of the leftover canes that I have made much much earlier.
I matched the blue against the dull copper background, to bring out the motifs.
The pendant hangs on a brown suede cord, length 15 inches.
It should hang just at the base of the neck, suitable for all necklines.

Now belongs to Eileen.

Pendants Galore!

I made numerous pendants like these over the weekend.
They are made out of polymer clay (Sculpey3, to be exact.)
Sculpey3 seemed to work well so far, but I have read that it is the most brittle of all the clays.
I have a few blocks of Fimo Soft, but have not start using them yet.
Ahh~~ Well...
